PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It’s up to seven new players on the Pitt basketball roster for next year. Joe Tipton of @On3/@Rivals reports Tuesday night Charleston Southern guard A’lahn Sumler has committed to the Panthers.
A junior last season, Sumler averaged 18.9 points (23.4 ppg in conference), 4.8 rebounds. 3.8 assists, 48% field goal and .396 (59-149) from three. In the season opener against Virginia Tech, Sumler had 13 points and nine rebounds. He had the school’s first triple double against Gardner-Webb. The 6’4” guard had 19 points and six assists against NCAA Tournament Cinderella High Point.

Sumler was named All-Big South First-Team and in two season with Charleston Southern scored 943 points, 223 rebounds, 153 assists and 48 steals.
