Pitt and Duquesne to go head-to-head on the gridiron for first time in 86 years

The City Game is back. This time on the football field.

For the first time in over 85 years, Pitt and Duquesne will meet on the gridiron.

The Panthers and Dukes will open their 2025 seasons against each other at Acrisure Stadium.

Pitt and Duquesne haven’t faced off on the football field since October 21, 1939 with the Dukes winning 21-13 at Pitt Stadium.

Kickoff for the August 30 game will be announced at a later date.

Pitt leads the all-time series against Duquesne 5-2, playing seven times between 1901 and 1939.

Dates and times for Pitt’s full schedule will be announced by the ACC later this month.
