PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) The Pitt Panthers play host to the Virginia Cavaliers Saturday afternoon at Heinz Field, and it's an important match for the home team.
Not only is it a senior night for one of the top classes in the school's history, headlined by Kenny Pickett, but the Panthers have a chance to clinch the top spot of the ACC Coastal Division.
Further cementing their spot as a step closer of winning the overall ACC Title.
Picking up just one win over the next two games would boost Pitt's record to more than eight wins for the first time since 2009.
Since Pat Narduzzi took over at head coach, the Panthers have reached eight wins three times (2015, 2016, 2019) but never a ninth.
Clinching the ACC Coastal Division would be the Panther's first Division Title since 2018.
Pitt joined the ACC in 2013.
