Pitt Athletics has announced that beginning immediately, concession stands at the Petersen Sports Complex and Fitzgerald Field House will sell beer, hard seltzer and wine during games.
Policies will be similar to those already in place at Heinz Field and the Petersen Events Center during Pitt athletic events.
In a release, Pitt says, “a portion of the funds from alcohol sales proceeds will be dedicated to drug and alcohol education programs for the overall student body through Pitt's Division of Student Affairs.”
As is the case with many buildings around Pittsburgh, a mask policy will be in effect regardless of vaccination status at indoor facilities.
Pitt Athletics is coming off of one of the most successful years in its history, with the men’s soccer team reaching the college cup, women’s soccer setting a record for wins last year and the volleyball team making it to the NCAA Elite Eight.
