Pitt lands center Dishon Jackson from Iowa State

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – After being outrebounded by double figures in over a handful of ACC games in 2024-25, Pitt has added size from the transfer portal Friday night.

Center Dishon Jackson commits to the Panthers for a final season of eligibility after spending last year at Iowa State. The 6’10”, 235-pounder averaged 8.5 points and 5.1 rebounds a game while shooting 58% from the floor without attempting one three-pointer.

The previous season, Jackson played at Charlotte in the AAC averaging 11.4 points and 6.1 rebounds. His first two years at Washington State he averaged 6.5 points and 4.2 rebounds.

Coming out of high school, the California native was a four-star prospect according to 247 sports and picked WSU over Arizona, Cal, Nevada, St. Mary’s and others. He was the ninth-highest rated recruit in Washington State school history.
