PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – In his first game starting for the Paris Ford, who opted out of the rest of the season, safety Brandon Hill was named the ACC Defensive Back of the Week.

Hill had a game-high eight tackles against Florida State on Saturday, forced a fumble and returned his first career interception 50 yards for a touchdown in his home state.

While in high school in Apopka, Florida, Hill known for his returns after picks.  The 5’10” defensive back averaged 28.4 yards per interception return.

Those 8 tackles this season are over a third of his 21 for the year, 1.5 of those for loss and two forced fumbles to go with the pick six.

Panthers play at Georgia Tech at 7 on Saturday, pregame starting at 4 on 93.7 The Fan.

The ACC announced Pitt’s last home game, November 21 against Virginia Tech, will kick at 4p.
