He didn’t have to do him like that.
With the Steelers down 10-8 with a little over four-minutes left in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr. picked off quarterback Lamar Jackson in the endzone to save the Steelers skin.
A new video has been released that shows us what Porter said to the intended receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
On the sideline, after the interception, Porter told teammates what he said.
“I’m like go ahead and run that, I already knew it was coming . . . “Strapped his old a**. I told him.”
The Penn State corner has grown in every area. But is he ready to start?
“Not right now, when the time comes, it will come,” said Steelers defensive coordinator Teryl Austin.
Porter may not be starting against the Rams but Pro Football Focus have him the highest grade of any corner in the league last week, 91.3.
