The Steelers have a big question at quarterback going into 2024, but they also need to get a new punter.
Pressley Harvin III has struggled in his three years in Pittsburgh and that was on full display during the Steelers Wild Card loss to the Bills Monday.
Along with self-inflicted mistakes, the Steelers gave the Bills good field position on a few occasions.
Harvin had a 31-yard-punt at the beginning of the game that led to Buffalo’s first touchdown.
He also had a 30-yarder that gave the Bills the ball around the 50.
Harvin averaged 38.5 yards with four punts total on Monday.
That isn’t going to get it done in the regular season, or playoffs.
The Steelers have holes on their defense and giving the other team good field position only makes it worse.
The Steelers even drafted Harvin in the 7th round of the 2021 draft, 254 overall.
Brock Purdy was drafted 262nd overall in 2022, meaning no pick should be taken for granted and taking a punter in a draft seems like a waste of a pick.
