PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A day after the win against the Bengals, now with a game on Thursday the Steelers are mandated to give a practice report, even though they didn’t practice, rather did a walk-through Monday. There was a new injury that jumped out and a return to full work for Joey Porter, Junior
Safety Jalen Ramsey is dealing with a wrist injury, head coach Mike McCarthy said it was too early to tell how the injury will impact his availability in Cleveland. He was limited in practice Monday per the estimated report. Ramsey started all 17 games in his first year with the Steelers in 2025.
“Based off his history, I think he will do everything he possibly can to play,” McCarthy said.
“You saw the tackling (Sunday),” said defensive coordinator Patrick Graham. “I mean I thought that was so solid, just the input. There's a veteran presence that gives great input on both the game plan and adjustments within the game and he knows how to play. He knows how play, he's been playing well for a long time.”
Along with Ramsey, slot corner Brandin Echols starts the week in concussion protocol and was limited. Echols and Ramsey also play the same or similar positions.
Tailback Rico Dowdle missed the Bengals game with a foot injur and did not practice.
Joey Porter, Junior was a full participant for the first time, although, it was only a walk-through practice.
