Rapoport: Steelers leading toward Fields over Wilson

It’s a hot topic around the entire NFL, who will be the Steelers starting quarterback in 2025.

According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Steelers seem to be leaning toward Justin Fields over Russell Wilson.

Speaking on “Good Morning Football” Tuesday Rapoport said, “As of right now, based on my understanding, Justin Fields is more likely to be the starting quarterback than Russell Wilson.”

Rapoport adds a deal is not done, at this time

He also says that Fields does “have a really good market going into free agency.”

That means the Steelers may want him, but he may find another team willing to pay him more money.

On the other hand, Fields is already familiar with the Steelers offense and with the knowledge he is going into the season as the starter, that could influence him to stay in Pittsburgh.
