Really seems like the Steelers are going after a QB in the draft

It's been a whirlwind week for Tomlin & Co.

The Steelers may currently have three quarterbacks under contract with Mason Rudolph, Dwayne Haskins and now Mitch Trubisky, but it really seems like the head coach Mike Tomlin is really looking for a fourth in the draft.

The marathon started on Monday with the Steelers taking a quick walk to see Pitt’s Pro Day and Kenny Pickett. They then went to Liberty to see Malik Willis, Ole Miss to see Matt Corral on Wednesday and that same night, Tomlin flew from Mississippi to Cincinnati to have dinner with Desmond Ridder before the Bearcats Pro Day on Thursday.

Tomlin and Ridder were spotted at the famous Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse on Wednesday evening.

As Fan Morning Show host Chris Mack points out, If Willis is available at pick 20, the Steelers are going to take him off the board.

But if both Willis and Pickett are gone before 20, do the Steelers want a quarterback that badly in this year’s draft that they’ll take Corral or Ridder?

“This is a very visible, a very recognizable head coach not making any bones about it (in Tomlin),” said Dunlap. “And we’re not seeing other head coaches with these quarterbacks.”

While other teams may be sending representatives Tomlin is going to pro days were he is the only head coach or one of a couple head coaches on the ground.

As Cook & Joe’s Joe Starkey said I don’t’ know what it means, but it means something that Tomlin’s this involved with all of these quarterbacks.”
