Wow, the Steelers trading wide receiver Diontae Johnson in the offseason seemed like a bad idea at the beginning of the season (with a weak WR room), but it’s looking pretty good now.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Johnson has been suspended by his current team, the Baltimore Ravens, for one game due to “conduct detrimental to the team.”
It’s being reported that Johnson refused to go into the game his past Sunday during a game in Philadelphia.
Johnson was taken the Steelers in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, spending his first five seasons in Pittsburgh before he was traded to Carolina for cornerback Donte Jackson and a pick in last year’s draft.
Johnson was traded by the Panthers to Baltimore in late October, along with a sixth-rounder, for a 2025 fifth-round draft pick.
Johnson has dressed for four games with the Ravens (starting one). He has one catch with Baltimore for six yards with only five targets.
