According to sports media expert Andrew Marchand, NBC is expected to be done with Super Bowl winning coach Tony Dungy as part of its football coverage.
The Athletic writer says Mike Tomlin, Cam Heyward and Aaron Rodgers could all be eyed as potential addition to NBC’s coverage.
Marchand says that the number 1 this offseason is the former Steelers head coach.
It’s been highly speculated that Tomlin would be able to get a TV job anywhere he wants.
But, that’s IF he wants. According to reports, Tomlin may want to step away from the spotlight entirely… at least for now.
Heyward was part of NBC’s Super Bowl coverage, but he is expected to play at least another year and considered a “wild card” to join NBC’s coverage is Rodgers.
While no one knows what Rodgers is going to do (come back for another year or retire) all signs point to the future Hall of Famer returning to Pittsburgh for one more season.
Other names Marchand said NBC are interested in are Travis Kelce and Kirk Cousins.
Becoming a football analyst on TV has become a big-money job for former players and coaches, especially over the past several years.
Tom Brady is making $375 million with his FOX contract over the next 10 years.
