The Pirates are bringing back a former All-Star with the team.
They have signed former infielder Adam Frazier to a, one year, Major League contract.
Frazier was taken by the Pirates in the 6th round of the 2013 Draft and had a breakout year in 2021 with the Bucs, being named the starting second baseman for the All-Star Game.
Frazier was batting .324 with 32 RBI and an OPS of .836 before he was traded to the San Diego Padres for infielder Tucupita Marcano, pitcher Michell Miliano and outfielder Jack Suwinski.
Frazier hasn’t been able to achieve the same success since he left Pittsburgh.
He played for Seattle in 2022, Baltimore in 2023 and last season was with the Royals where he batted .202 over 104 games.
The 33-year-old has a lifetime batting average of .264 with 339 RBI, 60 home runs and an OPS of .713.
