Report: Steelers bringing back safety Terrell Edmunds

Moments after it was reported the Steelers have their new punter in Corliss Waitman, following the season-ending injury of Cam Johnston, it is also being reported that Terrell Edmunds is back with the Steelers.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Steelers are signing Edmunds off the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad.

Edmunds played six snaps in Jacksonville’s 20-17 loss to Miami on Sunday.

He was the Steelers first-round draft pick in 2018, going 28th overall.

Edmunds spent five seasons with the Steelers playing in 79 games, starting in 75.

He has 410 total tackles with five interceptions, 26 passes defended, one fumble recovery.

An unrestricted free agent, Edmunds signed a one-year- $2.53 million contract for 2022.

Edmunds adds solid depth to an already strong secondary.
