Report: Steelers have discussed trading up in NFL Draft

According to one longtime NFL Insider, the Steelers are talking about a trade to move up in round one of Thursday’s draft.

According to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, The Steelers are talking with Denver about a trade for their 12th pick.

While a lot of the talk has revolved around the Steelers taking a lineman with the first pick, Pauline says the Steelers are interested in moving up to grab cornerback Quinyon Mitchell out of Toledo.

Mitchell ran the 40 in 4.33 seconds during the NFL combine.

The NFL Network calls Mitchell one of the most “under the radar defensive prospects” in the draft.

He’s 6-feet, 195-pounds and is considered a “special player.”

Pauline is the man who was among the first who reported on the Diontae Johnson trade.

The Steelers traded with Denver in the first round of the 2019 draft, moving up to 10th overall to take linebacker Devin Bush.

That didn’t work out so well.
