Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network says the Steelers are interested in Mitch Trubisky, Teddy Bridgewater and Jameis Winston.

In addition, Pauline says that Pittsburgh like Liberty quarterback Malik Willis “an awful lot” in the upcoming draft.

Only 28, Winston has a lot of football life left, but is coming off a major knee injury he suffered last season.

He was having a great year with the New Orleans Saints until he tore his ACL.

Winston is also a good mobile quarterback but it’s hard to know how his knee will hold up, but if recent videos are any indication, he’s recovering nicely.

Winston signed a $5.5 million-dollar deal last March with the potential to end up with $12.5 million.

Trubisky, taken 2nd overall by the Chicago Bears in 2017, is 29-21 in his career with 64 touchdowns and 38 interceptions with 10,652 passing yards.

Labeled by some a draft bust because of his inconsistent play, Trubisky signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills to be Josh Allen’s backup quarterback in 2021.

Trubisky signed a $2 million deal with Buffalo last year.

The 29-year-old Bridgewater, drafted in the first round of the 2014 draft by the Minnesota Vikings, is 33-30 over his seven-year career with the Vikings, Saints, Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos with 71 touchdowns, 43 interceptions with 14,437 total passing yards.

He was traded to the Broncos last year after the Panthers picked up Sam Darnold in a trade with the New York Jets. He was set to make a little over $4.4 million last season

He went 7-6 with the Broncos before suffering a season-ending concussion in Week 15.

All three quarterbacks are average, middle-of-the road starters that could help the Steelers get to at least eight or nine wins, and would fill in as a good bridge quarterback as Pittsburgh looks for their next Ben Roethlisberger.
