Excited about the possibility of Trevor Lawrence becoming the next Steelers franchise quarterback?
Not so fast.
A report that the Steelers have asked the Jaguars about a possible trade for the former #1 overall draft pick has been disputed.
ESPN Jaguars reporter Michael DiRocco says that after speaking to a source within the Jacksonville organization, there is “no chance” that the Jags will trade Lawrence and that the though is "ridiculous.”
DiRocco added later that the Steelers and Jaguars have not have any conversation about a deal for Lawrence.
93.7 The Fan’s Mark Kaboly, of the Pat McAfee show, doubled down.
“The Steelers in no way imaginable inquired about trading for Trevor Lawrence and have no interest in even reaching out to the Jaguars about acquiring Lawrence, according to a source,” said Kaboly.
