PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Back to not being able to practice for a rookie receiver as the Steelers released its first practice report for the Giants game Thursday afternoon.
Roman Wilson dealt with an ankle injury early in training camp that kept him from playing early, after working back he's suffered a hamstring injury and has re-injured it. Wilson did not practice on Thursday.
Tailback Cordarrelle Patterson is working his way back from an ankle injury and was limited on Thursday. Also limited:
· LB Tyler Matakevich (hamstring)-starting the window to return from Injured Reserve
· DT Keeanu Benton (calf)
Mike Tomlin said Damontae Kazee (ankle) was close last week to playing, he practiced full as did corner Donte Jackson (shoulder) and offensive tackle Dylan Cook (foot)-in week two of three weeks to see if he can return from IR.
Did not practice beyond Roman Wilson:
· S DeShon Elliott (back)
· OLB Nick Herbig (hamstring)
· C Zach Frazier (ankle)
· DT Cam Heyward (rest)
Steelers get an extra day of practice this week due to the Monday night matchup.
