Schefter: Steelers have 'checked in' on Miami CB Jalen Ramsey

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers have “checked in” on Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

But, “Pittsburgh is unlikely to be the destination for the former All-Pro defensive back.”

93.7 The Fan Steelers insider Mark Kaboly, of The Pat McAfee show said Monday he wouldn’t be surprised if the Steelers looked at Ramsey.

So, if the Steelers are looking into Ramsey, what does that say about how they feel about their secondary.

“The Steelers are telling you they don’t believe enough in their secondary,” said Fan Morning Show host Adam Crowley.

He adds that Darius Slay is a good player but he’s also 34.

“If you’re next best corner to step in on the outside is Cory Trice, you better be looking,” said Crowley.

“I think Darius Slay has a little bit left in the tank, enough left in the tank, but I don’t know if he has a full tank, and that’s what worries me,” said Dorin Dickerson.

Ramsey is under contract through 2028. He’s making $1.2 million this season and is owed $10 million the next two years and $21.1 million in 2028 at age 34.

There is a potential out of the contract in 2026.
