Several Steelers miss Thursday practice before Colts game

Both encouraging and discouraging news in Thursday’s Steelers practice report.

Cornerback Cory Trice Jr. who returned to practice for the first time since training camp on Wednesday was limited on Thursday with a knee injury after going full the day before.

Safety Darius Slay missed practice due to a "personal matter."

Safety Jabrill Peppers popped up on the injury report with a quadricep issue.

And Zach Frazier was limited with his calf injury after not practicing on Wednesday.

Linebacker Cole Holcomb was out with an illness.

Safety Kyle Dugger returned full after being out on Wednesday with a knee injury. Wide receiver Ben Skowronek (neck) and tight end Pat Freiermuth also returned in full.

Wide receiver DK Metcalf and defensive tackle Cam Heyward both got a resting day off.
