PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Another injury of note for the Steelers other than Joey Porter, Junior, starting left tackle Troy Fautanu was limited in practice Wednesday and was again on Thursday.

“Hopefully he can get through and practice,” said Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy before the workout Thursday.

If Fautanu can’t go, look for Dylan Cook to move over to left tackle and rookie Max Iheanachor to start at right tackle Sunday in New England.

“Getting better, he needs reps,” McCarthy said of the first-round pick. “This will be a big day for Max just because of all the padded work he missed (dealing with a neck injury in training camp). Just want to see him continue to make progress.”

Iheanachor got in the game briefly against the Falcons on the play where it’s believed Fautanu suffered the injury. However, the left tackle quickly returned.

Steelers will typically hold a walk-through practice on Friday and then full on Saturday before leaving for Boston.
