The legend of Big Ed Vega was born on November 22, 2020 when CBS Sports camera caught the mega Steelers fan in the stands during the 27-3 win in Jacksonville.
Vega was seen wearing black overalls with a giant Steelers chain on and a black and gold hard hat.
The PM Team with Poni and Mueller got a hold of Vega’s number and talked to him a few times and he had great takes.
Vegas also did a spot for Primanti Bros. and became a cult hero in Pittsburgh, even though he’s a California guy.
The pandemic slowed Vega’s planned trip to Pittsburgh, but fans are back in the stands at Heinz Field and he’s ready for Sunday’s Raiders showdown.
Poni and Mueller surprised Big Ed fans on Friday and had him in studio and they welcomed him by wearing their own version of his overalls (a Christmas gift from producer Kraig Riley).
Vega says his wife is with him on the trip but she isn’t a big football fan but she understands.
“When I watch football, that’s alone,” said Vega.
