Monday Night’s game at Heinz Field has a lot riding on it pertaining to streaks.

The Steelers have not lost a home Monday Night Football going back to the early 1990s, 19 straight to be exact.

So it’s an automatic Steelers win right? Well, not exactly.

Under Mike Tomlin, the Steelers have never won a game against the Bears, losing 17-14 in 2009, 40-23 in 2013 and most recently an overtime loss to Chicago 23-17 in 2017.

That 2017 game was marred by controversy after the team decided to stand in the tunnel during the National Anthem with then offensive lineman Alejandro Villanueva (and Army Ranger) standing outside of the tunnel for the Anthem.

That was a game the Steelers were expected to win, but lost. The Steelers are also expected to win tonight’s game against the Bears.

The Steelers are favorite by a touchdown over Chicago, but after a wild Sunday around the NFL, with several upsets, many in Steeler Nation are feeling uneasy.

The last time the Steelers beat the Bears was in 2005 when running back Jerome Bettis ran over Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher to score a touchdown in the snow.

Overall the Bears have dominated the Steelers since their first game in 1934 with Chicago leading the all-time series 19-7-1.

But Steelers are also dominant on Monday Night Football. All-time, the Steelers have the most wins in history with 52, next is the San Francisco 49ers with 49.
