According to a report, the Steelers have fired a senior special teams coach.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Steelers and Derrius Swinton “have parted ways due to violation of club policy, per league sources.”
After 16 years in the NFL, Swinton was entering his first with the Steelers as a part of Mike McCarthy’s staff.
Swinton spent the last three seasons in Las Vegas and was the interim special teams coordinator after the Raiders fired their coordinator in Week 10.
Swinton was the only assistant under special teams coordinator Danny Crossman, also entering his first year with the Steelers.
