Steelers get starting corner back full, Freiermuth back on injured list

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Injury news is almost always bad, we’ll start with the positive from the Steelers first practice on Wednesday.

Starting corner Ahkello Witherspoon, who has missed about a month with a hamstring injury, was able to practice full. Witherspoon did start out practicing last week and didn’t end up playing, will see how the next two days go.

A new injury for tight end Pat Freiermuth after just returning from a concussion with eight catches against the Dolphins.  Freiermuth limited on Wednesday with an ankle injury.  Also limited was receiver Steven Sims with a hamstring issue as well.

Four did not practice, all on the defense.

Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (knee)
Defensive lineman Montravius Adams (hamstring)
Corner Levi Wallace (shoulder)
Corner Josh Jackson (groin)
