An unsung hero of the Super Steelers of the 1970s, Thomas played in Super Bowls and 13 playoff games during his eight-year career in Pittsburgh.
Thomas had 19 interceptions and two fumble recoveries for a touchdown while in Pittsburgh.
Before he became a beloved broadcaster with the Steelers, Craig Wofley played in 129 games, starting 102 of them over his 10-year career with the Steelers from 1980-89.
His career with the Steelers off the field lasted even longer, spending 23 years as a broadcaster, first as a sideline reporter and then provided color beginning in 2021 after the passing of his good friend Tunch Ilkin.
Wolfley died on March 10, 2025 of cancer.
Kevin Colbert was the architect behind the Steelers last two Super Bowl Championships, spending 23 years in the Steelers front office, including 12 years as the team’s General Manager.
The Steelers went 226-143-3 during his tenure.
An induction ceremony will be held at Acrisure Stadium on Friday, September 25, with each inductee receiving a solid steel football, which is a replica of the original that U.S. Steel and the Steelworkers gave founder Art Rooney S. in 1982 to celebrate the team’s 50th anniversary.
The inductees will then be celebrated during the game against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 27.
