We knew the Steelers were going to have a tough scheduled in 2021, but according to new data, they have the hardest out of all 32 teams in the NFL, while the defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the easiest.
In a little over a week, the NFL will unveil its 2021 schedule, but we already know who the Steelers will play.
Since they won the division last season, they’ll play fellow 1st place teams AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans.
They of course will also play their division rivals Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, who both made the playoffs as well as a Cincinnati Bengals team that will have a returning Joe Burrow. Pittsburgh will also face the rest of the AFC west, The 8-8 Las Vegas Raiders, 7-9 Los Angeles Chargers and 5-11 Denver Broncos.
The Steelers also won’t have the NFC East to kick around next season, they’ll face a NFC North that features the =Green Bay Packers, 8-8 Chicago Bears, 7-9 Minnesota Vikings and 5-11 Detroit Lions.
With the NFL expanding the season to 17 games beginning in 2021, the Steelers will also play the Seattle Seahawks, another playoff team.
ESPN’s football “guru” Mike Clay released the strength of schedule roster on Tuesday.
His projections are based on current rosters.
If it’s any consolation at all, the Steelers fellow division rivals also have relatively hard schedules with Cleveland 20th, Baltimore 23rd and Cincinnati 28th.
