The Steelers are putting defensive end Sebastian Joseph-Day on their Reserve/Injured List.
Joseph-Day did not practice on Wednesday with a triceps injury.
The 31-year-old, who signed as an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, has played 29 percent of the snaps on defense and 22 percent of the snaps on special teams.
Joseph-Day is listed as the backup to Yahya Black on the Steelers’ depth chart.
Rookie sixth-round pick Gabriel Rubio will likely now be the backup.
Joseph-Day has 10 total tackles this season (3 solo), with one tackle for loss, one quarterback hit and one fumble recovery over six games this year.
