Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin address the team’s injuries during his weekly news conference on Monday, ahead of the team’s Wild Card round game in Baltimore against the Ravens Saturday night.
Steelers defensive Captain Cam Heyward is not at the team’s South Side facility on Monday as he continues to deal with the flu.
Steelers guard Mason McCormick has a broken hand. He is being fitted for a cast and has not been ruled out.
If McCormick can’t play, Spencer Anderson will start in his place.
Donte Jackson continues to deal with back issues, but Tomlin says the cornerback that missed the regular season finale against the Bengals is feeling “good” on Monday.
On the other side, the Ravens could be without their top wide receiver.
Zay Flowers was injured during the team’s win against Cleveland on Saturday.
Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh says that Flowers injury is not season-ending and he is currently considered “day-to-day”.
"He's going to try to do everything he can to get back as soon as he can,” said Harbaugh during his news conference on Monday. “We'll see where that takes us."
If Flowers misses, it would be a big hit to the Ravens offense, but the Steelers offense still has to find a way to score.
