Steelers center Kendrick Green got former center Maurkice Pouncey’s blessing to wears #53 before his rookie season, now he’s working out with the retired All-Pro.

In a photo posted to Pouncey’s Instagram story, the pair are seen in a picture during a workout.

Pouncey wrote, “The grind never stops working while others sleeping.” His company CellsRX, a sports supplement line he owns with his brother Mike.

Pouncey played 10 years in the NFL, was a nine-time Pro Bowler and two-time All Pro, he retired after the end of the 2-2- Season.

Green, drafted the third round on the 2021 draft missed the last two games of the regular season.

Tomlin blamed injuries for Green missing those games, but J.C. Hassenauer seemed to be an improvement over Green.

Retired starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said he thinks Green should be moved to guard and will do well there.

While he played some at center, Green spent most of his time at left guard at Illinois.

Pouncey also played some time at guard and center in college.
