According to the Sports Business Journal, The Steelers have the fourth worst decline in the league, falling seven percent compared to last year.

Houston has seen the sharpest drop with a 17 percent decline, followed by Chicago with a 13 percent dip and Seattle-Tacoma a 12 percent fall.

The Steelers ratings are 36.2 this season compared to 28.8 in 2020.

There could be multiple factors for the decline in Pittsburgh. The team is 5-3-1 right now compared to being undefeated at this time last season.

Fans are also allowed back into Heinz Field, compared to the pandemic season in 2020 when no fans were allowed inside the stadium for most games.

There is some good news though, the Steelers posted their biggest local rating of the season last week when the tied the Detroit Lions.

They should also do well this Sunday with a primetime game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
