PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He’s never had a job in the NFL, but coached with the FCS national champions. Steelers hired Shawn Howe as its outside linebackers coach.
In his first year as the Montana State defensive coordinator, they were top 20 in total defense, interceptions (16) and points allowed (19 ppg). The previous two seasons he was the defensive run game coordinator and co-defensive coordinator. He also coached in college at USC (twice), Coastal Carolina, Utah Tech, Humboldt State, Tennessee, Memphis, NC State and Rocky Mountain College.
