When the Steelers released their first official 53-man roster of the season Tuesday, many were wondering why two punters were kept, Presley Harvin and Braden Mann.
Well, Mann was released on Wednesday brining the roster down to 52 players.
That spot will likely be taken by cornerback Desmond King, who is reportedly signing with the Steelers after he was released by the Houston Texans Tuesday.
Mann was claimed off waivers from the New York Jets this past off season.
Originally drafted by the Jets in the sixth round of the 2020 draft, the Texas A&M player has 206 career punts and averages 45.5 yards with a 39.8-yard average, 14 touchbacks, 42 fair catches along with a touchdown returned and one blocked.
