The Steelers have made their first roster cuts of the preseason and have signed another player.
Safety Karl Joseph and wide receiver Anthony Miller have been placed on the Reserve/Injured List and are likely out for the year.
Four players were waived.
Defensive tackle Doug Costin
Offensive tackle Jake Dixon
Punter Cameron Nizialek
Center Chris Owen
All teams in the NFL are required to cut their roster down to 85 by 4 p.m. Tuesday.
They also signed guard William Dunkle.
The undrafted free agent rookie free agent was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in May but was released in June.
Coming out of San Diego State, Dunkle started at right guard in 30 games.
He has been recognized as an All-American by multiple outlets including the Associated Press and Pro Football Focus.
The next round of cuts comes next Tuesday and the final cut to 53-man rosters comes on August 30.
