PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He’s the only candidate to have a virtual and now an in-person interview. Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver is meeting with the Steelers on Friday and then ESPN reports he will meet with the Bills on Saturday.
The 45-year-old is an aggressive coach who understands the AFC North having coached and played previously with the Baltimore Ravens. In four years as a player in Baltimore, he started 54 games with 14.5 sacks and five forced fumbles.
He was the Ravens defensive line coach and run game coordinator in 2021 and then for two seasons was the assistant head coach with John Harbaugh before leaving for Miami. He would have worked in Baltimore with Steelers linebackers Patrick Queen and Malik Harrison and safety Chuck Clark. Previous he was a defensive assistant with the Bills, Browns, Texans and Jets working with Rex Ryan and Romeo Crennel.
Miami was, 17th in passing yards allowed, 26th in rushing yards allowed, 24th in interceptions and 15th in sacks with 39 in 2025.
