The Steelers will honor late quarterback Dwayne Haskins this season.

Players will wear a #3 sticker on the back of their helmets throughout 2022.
It’s a yellow circle with a white 3, on the left side of the back of the helmet.
Haskins was killed while crossing a highway in South Florida in the early hours of April 9.
He was hit by a dump truck.
He was in Florida with teammates after an invite to work out with now starting quarterback Mitch Trubisky.
Haskins was a standout at Ohio State University, starting just one season but broke Big Ten records and was a Heisman Trophy finalist.
In 2018, Haskins threw 50 touchdowns completing 373 passes out of 533 attempts for 4,831 yards.
A 15th overall draft pick by Washington in 2019, Haskins struggled in the NFL, ultimately released at the end of the 2020 season.
The Steelers signed Haskins to a Future/Reserve contract in 2021 and spent most of the past season on the Steelers’ scout team.
Haskins talked about how much he appreciated being signed by the Steelers during minicamp in 2021.
“Just coming here to Pittsburgh, I just wanted to prove to the coaching staff and my teammates how much I love football.” he said. “I’m just grateful for the opportunity to be here and just showing that my mind’s in the right place and I’m willing to work to be able to show my talents and work to earn a spot here.”
Haskins married his wife, Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins, in March 2021.
On Haskins’ birthday this past May, Kalabrya paid tribute to her late husband.
"Life without you here brings so much pain," it read in part. "But today we celebrate your 25th reign. Your light was so bright, words can't begin to explain ... How proud I am of the man you became."
