As part of Saturday's Steelers Fest fan event at Heinz Field, four former members of the organization found out that they would be the most recent inductees into the team’s Hall of Honor.

Jon Kolb, Carnell Lake, Louis Lipps and Tunch Ilkin will join 41 others in the Hall of Honor this season.

Ilkin played offensive tackle for the Steelers from 1980-1992, receiving two Pro Bowl nods. In 1998, he joined the Steelers Radio Network, serving as a color analyst until his retirement this June. Ilkin stepped away from the microphone to focus on his treatment for ALS, which he was diagnosed with in October.

Lipps was a fan favorite at the wide receiver position, playing in Pittsburgh from 1984-1991. He was named the NFL’s Rookie of the Year in 1984, made two Pro Bowls and was twice name All-Pro. He caught 359 passes in his career for 6,019 yards and 39 touchdowns.

Lake spent nine years with the Steelers as a standout safety. He made five Pro Bowls, one All-Pro First Team and four All-Pro Second Teams. Lake racked up 826 tackles, 16 interceptions and 25 sacks in his career, which also including one season with Jacksonville and another in Baltimore. Following his playing career, he spent seven years as a defensive backs coach with the Steelers.

Kolb was an anchor to the great Steelers offensive lines of the 1970s, playing his entire career in Western Pennsylvania. He started 138 games, blocking from the likes of Terry Bradshaw and Franco Harris. He won four Super Bowl titles and was named NEA First-Team All-Pro in 1979, two years before his retirement. He also served as a strength and conditioning coach with the Steelers following retirement and as a coach at Grove City College.

A formal induction of the new members of the Hall of Honor will occur during the weekend of November 13-14 when the team hosts the Detroit Lions.
