T.J. Watt hospitalized with lung issue

Steelers star outside linebacker T.J. Watt has been hospitalized after an issue with one of his lungs.

Steelers spokesperson Burt Lauten says “T.J. Watt is currently in a local hospital for further medical evaluation of his lung after experiencing discomfort at the practice facility on Wednesday.”

No other details were given, but ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Watt's injury happened while receiving treatment at the team's facility on Wednesday.

Lauten says Watt will not practice on Thursday and his status for Monday Night Football is “in question.”

Any updates will be provided by Head Coach Mike Tomlin “at the appropriate time.”

With the Steelers playing on Monday night, the Steelers did not practice on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old has started all 13 games this season with seven sacks, 10 tackles for loss, an interception and three forced fumbles.
