Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers confirming his will be his final NFL season on day one of training camp in Latrobe.
There have always been questions given the last few years even after he said a few months ago this would be his final season. It grew when Steelers receiver DK Metcalf said Tuesday morning Rodgers may feel differently after the season. But Rodgers said the percentage of playing in 2027.
“Zero.”
Adding there was ‘zero debate’ to have about it.
A future Hall of Famer, Rodgers is top five in NFL history in several all-time categories including yards and touchdowns.
“I thought last year might be it and then Mike (McCarthy) got hired and I talked to the wife and she said you can do one more year so well see if it works out and then it kind of all came together,” Rodgers said at the Rogers Center at St. Vincent College.
The 42-year-old also isn’t having those ‘last time’ vibes either.
“I mean, I thought it might like last year, it felt way more dramatic to me,” Rodgers said. “Like, it's my last arrival to training camp and this year doesn't feel anything. Yeah, I really don't. I'm just happy to be out here with the guys. Good to see some of their faces I haven't seen in a while. Good to see the six guys that went on the trip with again. I feel like there's like a tighter bond.”
Speculation may continue, but Aaron Rodgers said this will be his final season in the NFL.
