
The Pirates have made a few moves ahead of their final series before the All-Star break.
Right-handed pitcher Duane Underwood Jr. has been placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to July 8 with discomfort on his right side.
Underwood Jr. is 2-2 with a 4.86 ERA in 29 appearances so far this season.

To take his spot, lefty Austin Davis has been called up from Triple-A Indianapolis.
Davis, who also goes by “Big Fudge” is 0-1 so far in 13 appearances with 2.65 ERA. He has 24 strike outs in 17 innings with a 0.82 WHIP with Indy. He has also made two appearances with Pittsburgh with an ERA of 0.00 over two innings pitched with one strikeout.
Also, Steven Brault is expected to begin his rehab assignment in Single-A Bradenton Sunday. Brault has been on the 60-day IL with a left strain and has yet to make an appearance this season.
