It sounds like former Steelers offensive lineman Alejandro Villanueva, now with the Ravens will be playing his former team with a chip on his shoulder this upcoming season.

During an over 20-minute zoom session on Wednesday, Villanueva took several shots at the Steelers and a couple players.

Villanueva says it was an easy decision for him to choose Baltimore and part of that being he gets to play his former team twice a year.

He did call the Steelers a “class act organization” and that they let him know shortly after the season they wouldn’t be bringing him back.

Villanueva also added he doesn’t hold a grudge against his former team noting that “everybody makes business decisions.”

While he may say he does not hold any grudges he seems to be happier to be part of the Ravens line over the Steelers.

He said during the interview it’s better for players like him to be part of a run-first offense as opposed to the pass-first offense of the Steelers.

He also seemed to take a shot at JuJu Smith-Schuster and his social media presence.

"I’m assuming it’s not as much fun for the receivers because they’re not getting all of the catches, they’re making the Tik Toks and they’re having fun on their social media."

He adds that constantly passing is also “stressful” on an offensive line.

“you’re going to start going against a player like . . . Myles Garrett and he’s gonna get 10-15 passes in a row to set up moves to be able to attack every single angle of your body try different moves, you know he has 50-60 snaps to try everything that he wants to do on you,” said Villanueva.

Villanueva also joked that after carpooling with David DeCastro the past few years, it will be an upgrade to drive into work with Ravens Kevin Zeitler.

Villanueva will go from left to right tackle in Baltimore.
