Lisa Loring -- who played the spookiest little girl on television, Wednesday Addams in the original "The Addams Family" sitcom -- has died. She was 64.

Loring died Saturday "surrounded by her family," longtime agent Chris Carbaugh told CNN.

"She brought to life one of the most iconic characters in Hollywood history that is still celebrated today," Carbaugh said in a statement. "Lisa loved sharing her memories and meeting all her fans across the world."

Loring's friend Laurie Jacobson confirmed the death on Facebook, writing that the actress "suffered a massive stroke brought on by smoking and high blood pressure."

"She had been on life support for 3 days," Jacobson wrote. "Her family made the difficult decision to remove it and she passed."

Jacobson said Loring's legacy in the world of entertainment is "huge."

"She is embedded in the tapestry that is pop culture and in our hearts always as Wednesday Addams," she wrote.

Loring took on the role of Wednesday in the 1964 sitcom when she was just six years old and played the death-obsessed character until the show ended two years later, CNN reported. The role was reprised by Christina Ricci in the 1991 movie "The Addams Family" and 1993 sequel "Addams Family Values," and most recently by Jenna Ortega in Netflix's 2022 series "Wednesday."
