Two men were sentenced Wednesday to state prison in connection with their no contest pleas to an attack on a pregnant woman in Sunland more than four years ago.
Christian Reyes, 25, was immediately sentenced to 26 years behind bars as a result of his plea to one count each of attempted murder and robbery, according to Deputy District Attorney Amy Murphy.

Reyes admitted a gang allegation, along with allegations that the victim sustained great bodily injury and that he used a knife during the commission of the crime.
Co-defendant Andrew Bran, 24, was sentenced to 15 years in state prison for his no contest plea to carjacking, the prosecutor said. He also admitted a gang allegation.
The two were charged in a March 20, 2019, attack on a woman who was about three months pregnant at the time and was parking her car outside her home.
Reyes stabbed and punched the woman multiple times before he and Bran drove off in her car, crashing into parked vehicles as they fled the scene.
The woman subsequently underwent surgery as a result of her injuries. Her then-unborn baby "was and is fine" and is now 4 years old, according to the prosecutor.
Three other people pleaded no contest to being an accessory after the fact in connection with the crime. Two have already been sentenced to time they had already served in jail, with sentencing set in January for the third.
