Four people, including a child and a baby, were found shot to death in a North Hills home on Wednesday night in what police are calling a murder-suicide.
Around 8 p.m., officers responded to the 16200 block of Londelius Ave. for a reported shooting, according to KABC. Inside the home, a man, a woman, a young boy, and a 4-month-old baby were all found dead of gunshot wounds.
KNX News’ Jon Baird reported that police confirmed this is a case of murder-suicide and that all signs point to the mother being the shooter.
Baird spoke with neighbors who were stunned by what happened.
“I've seen them out walking, and, I mean, they would walk all the time,” a resident named John told Baird. “Very friendly, very friendly couple.”
“I don't know what went through that family to do that,” one woman said. “It's really sad to think that somebody would take their life and their kids. That was horrific.”
One man who lives right next door to the home where this happened told Baird he didn't hear gunshots either.
“There was definitely no indication of anything like that going on,” he said. “I didn't notice any tension or anything like that.”
The victims have not been publicly identified at this time.
