Thanksgiving in 2024 might be a little different for some families in Texas. It looks like more people are leaving the cooking to the professionals, instead of cluttering up their own kitchens with home cooking.

A new survey finds 37% of Americans say they're ordering their Thanksgiving dinners to be delivered to their homes or they'll go to a restaurant to pick up everything. Three-quarters of people say it's just easier.. another quarter say they're just too tired to do all that cooking.
Another 5% say they'll just go out for Thanksgiving, and leave everything at the restaurant. That's actually down from 17% last year. They blame it on the higher cost of eating out for the holidays.
Those who participated in the survey anticipate they will spend an average amount of $170 on Thanksgiving dinner for themselves and their guests.
