Authorities identify man killed in South L.A. shooting

Authorities Monday identified a man who was killed in a shooting in South Los Angeles that left another person injured.

Officers responded to the 700 block of 77th Street between Hoover and Figueroa streets at 12:25 p.m. Friday on a report of shots fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

One man died at the scene, and another person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

On Monday, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the fatally wounded man as Corvette Robinson, 63, of Los Angeles.

It was unclear what may have motivated the shooting, and there was no description of a suspect or suspects.
