The threats, which were emailed on Tuesday, claimed that there were explosives on the property, according to NBC 4.
Temple Israel of Hollywood was one of the synagogues that received the email. An email from the synagogue obtained by the Jewish Journal revealed that the synagogue evacuated after the email said there were explosives on the synagogue’s campus.
“LAPD conducted a search of our campus and declared us safe and cleared of any threat,” the email read.
In a statement to NBC 4, the FBI said that “precautionary measures are underway to determine whether the threat is credible and to identify the party responsible.”
