CHP investigating car-to-car shooting on 105 Freeway

A  car-to-car shooting left bullet casings strewn across the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway near Downey, prompting an investigation Tuesday.

The shooting was reported around 11:50 p.m. Monday and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the westbound freeway near Paramount Boulevard where they learned one vehicle was in pursuit of another when the shooting began, CHP Officer Michael Nasir told City News Service.

According to reports from the scene, the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument between relatives that began at a residence in Downey.

The shooting closed the freeway for approximately two hours while the CHP investigated the shooting.

No one was injured in the shooting.
