Organizers for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival are demanding the removal of a billboard promoting STD testing on the I-10 heading to the host venue.

The billboard features a background photo of the Coachella music festival and reads, “CATCH MORE THAN VIBES?” and directs people to FreeSTDcheck.org.

Aids Healthcare Foundation, the Los Angeles-based non-profit behind the billboard, said they’re not taking it down.

“What are Coachella organizers afraid of? Do they really not know how people spend their time during festival weekends?” read a press release from AHF president and cofounder Michael Weinstein.“It doesn’t help anyone to bury their heads in the desert sand and pretend people aren’t having sex. We want everyone to use condoms and practice safer sex, but if they don’t, we also want them to know where to get STD tested easily and for free.”

AHF said the billboard went up on March 26 and will continue to stay there throughout April.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will be held on April 12 – 14 and April 19 – 21.
